interesting and delightful read looking at the war of the roses form the viewpoint of margaret of Anjou the wife of the ill fated Henry VI and alternative to the philippa gregory books of the cousins war
This started out pretty well, but despite a whole lot of battles and betrayals, I was bored. It read more like a diary than a novel and despite the different perspective, it couldn't save it for me.
Good for the historical info, but I grew weary of the constant battles.

Ms. Higginbotham brings the complicated world of Margaret, the Lancasters and Yorks to life in this wonderful novel. I can honestly say I did not want this novel to end.
Loved this book. Was a nice version of the War of the Roses story from Margaret of Anjou's viewpoint. Fairly easy read. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Very good read, but I can't rid myself of the feeling that it was an overly sympathetic view of Margaret of Anjou AND her son. However, it made me WANT to like her.

This book is boring. But I was a soldier and finished the book with no desire to ever read it again.
The title and cover page are beautiful! Can't wait to read this one!
