Farm Stand Covers

Hugh would give anything to leave his family’s farm.  To wander exotic beaches, to find out who he might be if he wasn’t a farmer’s son -- a soil drone who plants seeds in the ground, and in a woman, and watches them grow.

Adelaide is escaping summer in the city, she's escaping her husband, for a month in the country, just she and the kids.  She’s searching for herself, the woman she lost when she became a wife and mother.  She expects to be invisible in the country, but her skin is brown, and this hundred miles North of New York City might as well be the deep South.

Hugh and Adelaide don’t mean to change each other’s lives, but it’s August, and the sun is hot, at the Farm Stand
