15th Century art at Detroit's DIAThe Annunciatory Angel by Fra Angelico was painted between 1450 and 1455. DIA Director and CEO Graham Beal notes Angelico was a Dominican monk who "dedicated himself to representing God's glory with stunning simplicity." The Detroit Institute of Arts owns a large collection of 15th Century art from the time of Richard III. With the discovery of the long lost monarch's remains, here's a sampling of works in their collection from the time of the fabled king.
